                The Objective of this FDP is to familiarize the attendees with the power converters for use in renewable energy systems. This work shop is planned to facilitate the up-gradation of knowledge and skills of faculties in technical institutions who are working in fields of Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Systems. The main aim is to fill gap between academic institutes and industry needs. This FDP will be perhaps one of the most successful effort in bringing emerging fields of basic research, highly relevant to immediate applications of National importance, and attracting young talent into this exciting and important area.

                Outcome of the FDP is that the participants will acquire the competency in conducting simulation studies, innovations and knowledge necessary to understand and develop highly efficient, cost effective and reliable integration of renewable energy sources with grid. The faculty members can upgrade the knowledge and skills in the area of Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Systems. Faculty can set up new laboratory experiments relevant to the simulation of power converters used in RES. The faculty Will be able to understand the basics of Solar PV Emulator which in turn will help them to set up a solar lab/park
